On Open Barn days you can come out and meet the goats (and sheep and horses and cats and dogs), tour the facilities, and learn all about the rescue. You must wear shoes that cover your feet to go out into the animal pastures – no sandals, flip flops or open-toed shoes. Please leave your dogs at home.
Open Barns are held on the second Saturdays of most spring and summer months. Click here for the 2018 Open Barn schedule.
Every year, we offer several sessions of our popular “Goats 101” class. These all day, hands-on workshops are lots of fun, and packed with useful information.
Held annually, this free, family-friendly event is ridiculously fun! The Goatalympics is not your typical livestock event. Rather than focus on conformation and production, as seen at a typical County Fair, the Goatalympics is all about having fun with pet goats. It is also the biggest fundraiser for New Moon Farm, so make sure to join us on July 13, 2019!
New Moon Farm periodically schedules work parties for large projects and farm maintenance. Join us for a day of fixing fences, spreading gravel, shoveling poop, and other satisfying jobs.
