New Moon Farm’s Annual Goatalympics

Obstacleboot

The 9th Annual Goatalympics will be SATURDAY, JULY 13, 2019

Location: Evergreen State Fairgrounds, Monroe, WA

Time: Starts at 10am, ends around 3pm

Cost: Free! ($2 suggested donation)

Who is it for? Everyone, especially people who are amused by goats doing tricks!

Can I participate? Absolutely! If you have a goat, you will be able to register for events shortly. If you don’t have a goat, come and join in with the audience participation classes, win prizes at goat poop bingo, the raffle, and more!

Held annually, this free, family-friendly event is ridiculously fun! The Goatalympics is not your typical livestock event. Rather than focus on conformation and production, as seen at a typical County Fair, the Goatalympics is all about having fun with pet goats. Come watch goats and their people compete in foot races, obstacle courses and more. Take your guess as to who will win Best Trick, Most Spots, Longest Beard and other exciting contests. Vote in the People’s Choice Awards for Adult and Youth costume contests. Every year, this event gets bigger and better – 2018 drew a crowd of over 5,000 spectators, contestants and their goats. Participants of all ages, from toddlers to grandmas, entertained the crowd and had a great time doing it.

Of course, there are always adorable, adoptable goats at the Goatalympics for people to meet. In addition to being a fun celebration of goats, the Goatalympics helps to raise money for New Moon Farm.
