Can’t afford to make a financial contribution, but still want to help? At New Moon Farm, your time is invaluable! We always need help with basic chores – cleaning the barns and pastures, scrubbing water tubs, keeping up with the landscaping and of course, socializing the goats! Join us for a work party or sign up to volunteer on a regular basis.
Are you a skilled laborer? A top-notch electrician or general contractor? Whatever your expertise, chances are that we could use your help around the farm. In-kind donations are the perfect way to give without opening your wallet. Volunteer travel expenses such as mileage, meals, and lodging for qualifying charities may be tax`deductible. Please speak with your personal tax advisor for more details about your specific situation.
We ask our regular volunteers to commit to a two hour shift, once a week, for a minimum of six months. Volunteers between the ages of twelve and eighteen must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Due to liability issues, we cannot have volunteers under the age of twelve. To find out more about volunteering, please email us at [email protected].
NOTE: As of June 1, 2019, all scheduled volunteer positions are currently filled! Please email us at [email protected] if you want to be added to a waiting list for a regular shift with the Manure Management Team, or if you have special skills you’d like to volunteer for the rescue.
