Can’t afford to make a financial contribution, but still want to help? At New Moon Farm, your time is invaluable! We always need help with basic chores – cleaning the barns and pastures, scrubbing water tubs, keeping up with the landscaping and of course, socializing the goats! Join us for a work party or sign up to volunteer on a regular basis.
Are you a skilled laborer? A top-notch electrician or general contractor? Whatever your expertise, chances are that we could use your help around the farm. In-kind donations are the perfect way to give without opening your wallet. Volunteer travel expenses such as mileage, meals, and lodging for qualifying charities may be tax`deductible. Please speak with your personal tax advisor for more details about your specific situation.
We ask our regular volunteers to commit to a two hour shift, once a week, or a four hour shift, once a month for a minimum of six months. Volunteers between the ages of ten and eighteen must be accompanied by an adult. Due to liability issues, we cannot have volunteers under the age of ten. To find out more about volunteering, please email us at [email protected] to set up an orientation.
NOTE: As of October 1, 2018, all volunteer positions are currently filled! Please email us at [email protected] if you want to be added to a waiting list for a regular shift with the Manure Management Team, or if you have special skills you’d like to volunteer for the rescue.
